Is flood insurance required in Florida?
If you have a federally-backed mortgage and your property is in a designated Special Flood Hazard Area (SFHA), yes. But even outside mandatory zones, Florida’s flood risk makes coverage strongly advisable. We place both NFIP and private flood policies.
